Joseph Ratzinger has always expressed his great interest about ecumenism. First of all, he proposes the eucharistical ecclesiology buildet around the bishop and the Eucarist. At the same time, he appeals to the word and the ministery as factors of the ecclesial communion. The Church is the people convocated by God, that meets around the word and the eucharistical body of Christ. On the other hand, he tries to conciliate the complementary principles of the petrine primate and the episcopal collegiality. The ecumenical dialogue with ortodoxes, anglicans and reformed will lay on not only in the prayer and the common action, as well in the theological dialogue about the concepts of Church, authority, ministery and apostolical succession.
