Abstract

LG 13 and 17 provide the basis for a theological-ecclesiological foundation of ecclesial mission. Considered in themselves and with reference to the entire second chapter of LG, which is devoted to the Church as People of God, LG 13 and 17 recall themes that are decisive for the object of this contribution, which aims to focus on issues pertaining to the essential missionary nature of the Church as People of God. Among said issues, that of the subjects of the evangelizing mission deserves mention, an issue considered here from the perspective of the relational implications of ecclesial belonging and from that of the ecclesial subject globally understood, specifically from that of the local Church.
