Abstract

This article suggests a research path related to the via pulchritudinis, which takes Mary’s royal Assumption as its point of observation, enhancing her real and pneumatic presence in the Church. In the first part, we will summarize the current state of research on the Mariological via pulchritudinis, started in 1975; in the second part, we will attempt to shed light on some points still in the shadows and offer insights to rethink the Mariological “way of beauty” as “theological aesthetics”, encouraging an integral vision of the Mystery of the Christus totus, through a perspective ab aeterno; in the third part, we will set out the essential lines of our proposal.
